PLIB is accredited by International Accreditation Service, Inc. (IAS) as an ISO 17020 third-party inspection agency for metal plate connected wood trusses (view certificate). IAS is a nonprofit, public-benefit corporation and a subsidiary of the International Code Council (ICC), the governing body that develops the International Building Code (IBC).
Our auditing program complies with ANSI/TPI 1-2014 Chapter 3, the National Design Standard for Metal Plate Connected Wood Truss Construction, which is referenced in the IBC. In most instances certification to this standard is required for wood trusses used in jurisdictions that follow the IBC.
